After your appointment, do not wet your eyelashes for 24 hours. This will give the glue an appropriate amount of time to cure. You should also avoid steam rooms/saunas, excessive sweating, and swimming during this period.

Do not use cleansers, makeup removers, or moisturizers that contain oil or solvents on your lashes. Oil will weaken the adhesive bond and cause lash extensions to fall off prematurely.

Take special care around the eye area when cleansing your face. Avoid any type of oil-based product around your eyes (eye creams, moisturizers, masks, etc). Again, the oils will break down the adhesive bond.

Do not rub your eyes, instead, you should get used to patting your eyes gently. This is better for your lashes and the sensitive skin around your eyes.

Brush your lash extensions several times a day, this will keep them clean and untangled. Always brush upwards and not in a back-and-forth motion.

Never pull your eyelash extension off as it can pull out your natural eyelash. If you want them removed, please make an appointment.

Do not perm, curl, or tint your eyelash extensions.

The application process is very relaxing – like receiving a spa service. You lie down on a spa table and have your eyes closed the entire time. We will apply one synthetic lash extension at a time to one of your natural lashes with medical grade adhesive. When your natural lash sheds, the extension will fall out with that lash. Your natural lash cycle as well as how well you care for your lashes will affect how long the extensions will last. To maintain a full appearance, a refill is recommended every 2-3 weeks.

Although it is not recommended, you can. However, it must only be a water based mascara (not waterproof). Do not use oil-based or water-proof mascara. To remove eye makeup and mascara - only use a water based eye makeup remover.

Yes. The bonding agent is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise, etc. However, do not wash your eye area for the first 24 hours after each application. Additionally, heat from steam or water can loosen the adhesive bond allowing for the glue to become flexible and can cause sticking or release of extensions. Ensure you carefully cleanse and don't apply hot steam or water directly to eyes.

No! We do not recommend using mechanical eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions as these curlers will damage the extensions, and possibly your natural lashes.

The Loft only uses medical-grade adhesive to apply semi-permanent eyelash extensions. Derma-bond technology (used by physicians to bond skin together) is the base for the structure of the eyelash extension adhesive. It has been specially formulated to work on sensitive areas of the body, such as the eye, to reduce skin irritation. The FDA doesn't regulate eyelash extensions since the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelashes and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free and relaxing that most clients fall asleep during the procedure.

* We offer a sensitive adhesive for those with sensitive or reactive eyes. The sensitive adhesive contains formulated Cyanoacrylate and no Carbon Black to reduce fumes and possible irritation. Allergic reaction are rare occurrences and are usually the result of incorrect eyelash extension application, seasonal allergen or improper at-home care.
